DESIGN YOUR OWN

ASSOCIATE DIPLOMA

Human Sciences | Hospitality and Tourism | Psychology | Business | Environmental Management | Media Studies | Horticulture | Computers | Human Resources | Marketing | Agriculture | Biology

  • Internationally Accredited through the International Accreditation and Recognition Council (IARC is a global recognition system that currently covers institutions from America, Europe, Asia and Australia)
  • An academic qualification, which is between an Advanced Certificate and a Diploma

WHAT IS REQUIRED

1500 nominal hours of study, comprising:

  • 13 units from the same, or related areas of study (which together comprise 1300 nominal hours)
  • 100 hrs of either work experience (following studies) or attendance at industry meetings (eg. Seminars, conferences, committees, conferences, trade exhibitions etc).
  • Research Project I (100 hrs)

WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO AN ASSOCIATE DIPLOMA?

  • To upgrade from a Certificate or Advanced Certificate
  • As a "first" qualification to help with starting a career
  • As a supplementary qualification to broaden skills and knowledge into areas not previously studied
  • As an additional qualification to a degree, diploma or something else; to increase attractiveness in the work force.

HOW TO UPGRADE FROM A CERTIFICATE

Appropriate credit will be given for a certificate studied through ACS, or another approved institution, which is of 600 hrs or more nominal duration. Exemption would commonly be given from 6 units on the proviso that upon completion, the certificate will not be claimed as an "additional" qualification to the Associate Diploma.

HOW TO UPGRADE FROM AN ADVANCED CERTIFICATE

Appropriate credit will be given for an advanced certificate studied through ACS, or another approved institution, which is of 900 hrs or more nominal duration. Exemption would commonly be given from 6 units on the proviso that upon completion, the advanced certificate will not be claimed as an "additional" qualification to the Associate Diploma.
