Getting Published by ACS

Scope of our Publishing:

ACS publishes:

Submissions

Submissions are sought from anyone competent for the following sites or sections of sites:

Garden Ezine www.acsgarden.com  We are always interested in receiving media releases, product reviews, or even short articles (300-700 words, accompanied by at least 3 digital images of 300-800kb) You may also automatically make submissions to several sections of this site (events, garden directory and forums).

Careers Site www.thecareersguide.com Articles on anything to do with employment, education or careers may be submitted anytime (no more than 1000 words, preferably no more than 500. A digital image is also appreciated). You may also automatically make submissions to sections of this site (links lists and forums).

Online Library -We have published many articles both from our staff, students, and other persons not associated with the school. Some have been short, others the size of a book have been published in parts. If the article is academically sound, it will be considere for publication; and the authors work may hence be shared with the entire ACS and affiliate community, comprising many thousands of people across the world. Though no payment is offered, we are happy to provide ongoing access to and use of the library, for any contributor.

Other Sites You may automatically make submissions to sections of most of our other sites (links lists and forums).

Submit any non auto submissions to: admin@acs.edu.au for consideration.

We do not budget to pay for any articles accepted for publication from external sources. Being reviewed and accepted for publication is viewed by ontributors as a priviledge, and for some, may be a first step toward breaking into the publishing industry, and eventually obtaining paid commissions for their writing.

Publishing Policy:

  • We are only interested in publishing non fiction, which is related directly or indirectly to the disciplines covered by ACS courses.
  • We only publish material either created and owned by ACS, or where unrestricted use of the material has been given to ACS (Note: We do not seek exclusive use from external contributors though).
  • We only commission work from persons who have first been accepted and approved as an academic officer within our system.
  • We give priority to persons who ared students of acs or an affiliate institution, or staff of an affiliate institution.
