Train for Irrigation Management in Horticulture

Study how to make best use of irrigation in gardens and other settings. This online course enables you to continue to earn while you learn. The course should help you to improve your job and career prospects.

Water is expensive and precious and yet without it plants will die. Many gardeners try very hard to reduce their use of water and this course explains in detail how this can be done. The equipment available to gardeners has changed radically in the past few decades and the advent of computer controls has increased the accuracy of water applications. Accuracy is important because when growing horticultural crops there are moments in the crop when applying water can make a big difference in the yield. Conversely there are times when applying water is not going to have any measurable effect. The timing and quantity of irrigation are therefore critically important whether you are a market gardener growing herbs or an amenity gardener trying to produce a stunning herbaceous border.
